Don't let that shit bother ya Melvin and John. Your both better off now. There are just too many other forums out here to worry about that one. Oh, i'm sure he spends plenty of time visiting this and many other forums just to see who he can ban from his site.
I'll bet sooner or later those giving him the free stuff to do a so called test will see the light. Have ya ever seen a bad product review from a company that still deals with him????

A few thoughts on the GB website: Re: dholepuncher's post in classifieds.
I am not a confrontational person. But, in the case of GB and his threats against anyone he considers a "dealer" really struck a nerve with me. He basically said that he would ban anyone he considered a dealer, and he might make some mistakes in his selection, but so be it. The more I read it, the madder I got. Why didn't he just contact the ones he thought were dealers, and deal with them one on one?
So, I made a post suggesting that he stop whining and threatening people, and do away with the classifieds if they were such a headache. Let me add here that no one responded negatively to what I had to say. I only regret that I used the word"damn" in my post, which is out of character for me. Then John(dholepuncher) confronted him, and the ruckus started. I have had dealings with John, and I can tell you there is not a nicer, more honest person to deal with. And, he is not a dealer.
To make a long story shorter, I was banned from GB. The moderator replied to my post, and before I could defend myself, I was banned. Then he allowed all kinds of personal attacks on me, knowing I couldn't defend myself. This also violates his website policy, but apparently, he allowed it in this case.
There is evidently a mole on this website, because the moderator says that he had an email confirming that I had tried to get kicked off GB. How rididculous! I simply made a comment in dholepuncher's post below in the classifieds, and someone construed that as me trying to get thrown off.
Had to be from here, as this is the only place I commented on the subject.
To that mole, you, Sir, are a coward, and so are your buddies over on GB's. It's easy to be brave, when I can't reply to defend myself.
Doesn't bother me that I am banned; some things that are free just aren't worth the price!

Let me be the first to congratulate you on your escape from the "tyrant king's" website! GB wasn't always like he is today, I was once a "forum discussion leader" on his board.....but, he changed. Now, GB has the "big fish in a small pond" syndrome and most folks eventually run afoul of his tyrannical, childish behavior! He is a true coward, as you have seen firsthand, this isn't the first time he has banned someone, then let the vultures attack after that person could no longer defend themselves.....did I mention that he is a hypocrite too......violating his own rules when he feels like it while banning others for the same infraction!

You are better off having left his site.....there is nothing GB offers that can't be found elsewhere and you won't have to live with all of his garbage!

I generally just brouse and lurk here, I don't post much....

However, I suppose I must respond here....I was involved in the infamous Single Shot Rifle Forum Foop, about a year and a half ago.

I had been posting on GBO since it started, (actually before it started) and was one of "The Twinkie Kings" moderators on another Forum there.

After the blowup, I posted in the new SSR forum location and ol GB banned me and blocked me from his site. He wasn't even man enough to send me an E-mail advising me about it.....

I am a long time Contender/Encore hunter/shooter and I felt lost until I found mike Bellm's site, (He also had a falling out with the Twinkie King). This site looks like it is pretty good.

Bottom line is GB owns his site and if he wants to drive it into the dirt, I suppose that is his option....

But I don't miss it....

He's mad with power and free goodies it seems, which is sad. Back in the old Hunting Information system days, back before he needed his own site, Bill seemed like a nice guy. He doesn't practice what he preaches.

You haven't lost anything being banned from over there! Try these & you'll see how fast an old cranky man's site will just disappear with no regrets. Since you already have this site I won't list it. There are others but not quite as good for T/C's
