I just ordered a 14" TC 44 Mag barrel from Ed. Instead of setting it up with a 2X scope I'm thinking of trying a red dot scope. My last experience with a Tasco Accudot was not good. I could not see the dot in bright sunlight. The barrel will be primarily used for deer hunting, and perhaps a hog hunt.

Does anyone have first hand experience with the Burris Speed Dot? Natchez has them on sale.

Thanks
Greg

Gregory, I know what you mean about the Tasco. My windage stoped working after 50 rounds on my Rem 1187. I can't speek for the Burris, But I can on the Bushnell.....I know I keep pounding on these scopes, but hey, They work!
Take a look at this one>>>>

I now have it on my 1187 combo turkey-deer gun. Over 150 rounds and still going strong. Very clear and the 6min. dot is as bright as you need in any light. Price at D&R sports is great........ not Cabelas. [Wink]
They now have this one to>>>

It may be even better.

I like the multi reticle option. I may give this one a try. Thanks for the info.

I checked out the D & R website, but I can't tell if the scope they list is the same. Their description is lacking and there is no picture. How can you be sure it's the same one Cabela's is listing for $109?

The product number is 73-0134 at the Bushnell website. D&R has listed with the same number. Check it out. http://www.dnrsports.net/merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=DSC&Product_Code=BSN730134&Category_Code=scopesbsn
