Can anybody give me an idea on what this older pistol is worth? It is set up as a schutzen pistol now 35 short (357 max shortened) it is nice but I have no idea what it is worth. Who works on these and how do you change barrels. It is the same a E R Brown BF pistol (+$500)

Thanks
Thom

If it is the older pistol it is the precursor to the BF that E.Arthur Brown sells now. This is back when Bert Stringfellow was still making them. (B)ert and (F)aye Stringfellow. That is where the BF came from. On average I would think they are worth $275-$350. Not as gussied up as the current ones, but still a very good pistol. Russ

Spaced it out. Faye is the middle name. Shirley was her first name. Went with BF for obvious reasons. I think gun has to be sent back in to have barrels changed. Your might be worth more to some one that shoots that particular game, a bit less to someone that doesn't. Russ

EA Brown advertises that the barrel is screwed in hand-tight with Loctite. Maybe just need heat and a strap wrench?
