First, thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers these last two weeks. It means a lot and is much appreciated during these difficult days. Don't know what I'd do without it. Life has to go on. Our first trial run of custom extra strength, "Speedlock" Encore and G2 hammer springs came in about a week before Dee passed away, about the time close friends of ours were in a motorcycle accident about 2 1/2 hours from here and needing our help most of the week before Dee passed away. Bottom line is I'm late getting these on the store, but now have them available. To my knowledge, no one else offers heavier hammer springs for Encores and G2s. It has become apparent that stronger hammer springs are often needed, especially when the hammer spring must be shortened in the course of doing a trigger job. Shortening the hammer spring weakens it and sometimes results in misfires. Doing trigger jobs using the new hammer springs for the first time last Friday, I was impressed by how crisp the hammer fall was, especially with the strongest of the three spring tensions we have. First experiments using the heaviest spring showed no appreciable increase in trigger pull weight. Here is the link for the Extra Strength Encore & G2 Hammer Springs: http://www.bellmtcs.com/store/index.php?cid=86&offset=0 Take a look, especially if you have had any misfires with these frames or have any doubts about whether your hammer spring is strong enough or not. BTW, these are easy to install. Just unscrew the hex nut the grip or stock bolt screws into. Thanks again, All. Just trying to get some wind back in my sails again. Mike | ||
