CAn anyone cite some links to self defense situations where the victim fired more than 7 or 10 rounds in defense of their life and property ?

Gunwatch blog its tough because most stories do not list the number of rounds fired.

It can be dangerous to play the numbers game !! Too many variables; is he wearing a vest ?high on drugs ? etc !
There are of course police shootouts that have very high number of hits !
The rule is then to shoot and continue to shoot until the BG is no longer a threat !

Yup, my Dad, in the Battle of the Hürtgen Forest assaulted three German machine gun nests with his 1911 and KaBar hunting knife. After taking the first he picked up the MG 42 and cleaned out the other two. LOTs more than 7 rounds.

Cops frequently shoot a lot more than 7 rounds with a very low hit to rounds fired ratio. But the basic rule is:"the more rounds you put on target, the better your chance of success."

I'm sure the violent crime rate in NY will drop a lot as a result of Cuomo's stupid new law. Look how well the gun laws work in Chicago, LA and DC....... At least he has buried any chance he might have had to become President.

Hopefully, the Kenyan's support of more gun laws, combined with the depression, will turn the Senate Red in 2014 and put a real American in the White House in 2016.

Will it be too late ? Only time will tell.
