Watch this guy take the gun & knife away from the bad guy

All is fine untill the attacker uses counter moves against the defenders attack.

It is fairly easy to defend against one style of attack but if the attacker starts with combos and knows some counter moves it gets a lot harder.

It is a lot easier to do and show when your attacker isn't really trying to hurt you.

Granted it can work the less trained your attaker is the more likely it well work.

I'm reminded of the scene in the Indiana Jones movie . . . You know the scene . . .

Yeah, but all that shit in videos like that are staged and pre-arranged. If that guy with the handgun really wanted to do damage to the guy he would have hit him twice in the chest from 5-10 ft away and the guy wouldn't have been able to get his hands on him.

Same with the knife. When I was taught to knife fight for close quarter combat, we were taught to use a sweeping slash across the lower abdomen. Even if the guy tried to block it, he would have got cut. Only a fool uses a single thrust when his opponent is that close.
