I really liked Hizzie's article. Surprised we haven't heard from IS, but ...

Last thing in the world I want to do is get in a knife fight. I always carry a knife. It's for when I run out of ammunition. I don't plan on that happening anytime soon and I carry spare ammo accordingly. As useful as they might be, I don't think I'll be taking classes on how to use a concealed carry knife. Truly a last resort in my estimation.

He claims to be 100% disabled. Never mentions a Purple Heart so it must be 100% in his head. Like most everything else he brags about.

pegleg and jdollar, two of our most experienced jungle fighters.

Would you mind comparing, here in public, your service records to mine? I am up for that, to compare DD-214's in front of credible witnesses.

Purple Hearts, in Ranger Companies, are a sign of carelessness. Nobody brags them up. CIB's, yes, but you two douchebags probably do not know what those initials stand for...

pitiful little wanna-be's.

There you go again. Your head must be hurting because real soldiers never brag about their duty. Never.

nope... IS and i had this same discussion several years ago when he threatened to kill me ( and several others) on this forum. Saeed was informed of the threats by me and several others. IS disappeared for a while. apparently he is off his meds( or never took them) and up to the same old shit. in 1 personal message he openly discussed his PTSD as diagnosed by a VA psychiatrist and stated he refused to be medicated. some things never change and his mental problems are one of them....IIRC, there was a total of at least 3 people he threatened to kill. draw you own conclusion about his mental state. 1 of the people threatened reported the threat to the FBI as it is illegal to do such.

But I haven't seen any death threats recently. Whatever happened, happened years ago. Can we all just have BBQ and enjoy the 4th?

I hate to ask, but who's hanging onto this like a dog on a bone?

Jdollar:

I understand your sarcasm. No threat to your life is at all funny; nor should it be taken lightly.

An individual threatened my life a few years ago. It hasn't been much of an issue because he is in prison now (because of me). But he will get out soon and it will be an issue then.

So I share your disdain about people threatening to kill you.

In the case of IS, I don't think it is a real threat, my case is different.

I stand by my comments, and that you sully the name of Peter Hathaway Capstick by even comparing your trotting around the kitchen peeling potatoes or slaughtering legions of rogue cardboard boxes to his exploits.

Your problem, and it is common these days, is that you passed up your opportunity to enlist in the Army or Marine Corps and rack up any time in a combat zone, let alone participated in any face-to-face terminal (for one of the involved parties) encounters, but now you are anxious to make a buck or two by some far-fetched fantasy you were able to have printed.

Capstick WAS a PH in Africa for a number of years, wrote several books, and faced "to the death (of one of the parties)" charges by the Dangerous Five.

The plethora of "couda/shoulda/shoulda" pulp magazines that disgrace the field of Combat Arms by the writer never having actually even served in the US about 99% to sell overpriced "Tactical" versions, is reprehensible to most of us that served. I never planned to be a hero, it just seemed like my duty to enlist in the US Army less than three months after the TET Offensive in 1968. It also seemed fitting and proper to complete Paratrooper and Ranger Schools and stand with those proud, brave young men. Get to see six months of Germany in the 10th Pathfinders, and then volunteer for Vietnam. Twenty-five months and ten days in RVN, most all of it in Co G/ Co 2G/75th Inf.

We had a term for garrision soldiers that never even got close to a firefight. REMF. Rear Echelon Mother F---ers. You're not even qualified to spit shine their boots.

Look up the initials/ phrase "CIB". It stands for Combat Infantryman's Badge. I was awarded one.

just take your silly wanna-be story somewhere you won't have combat soldiers to call you on it.

You got to be fuckin' kidding me. You're so full of shit. Killing someone, anyone is not something anyone who's had to do it brags about. If, God forbid you have to, you try to make peace with it and move on. I know that. I don't believe this shit of yours for one minute and don't bother haranguing me about your DD214, I've already figured out that you are either mentally ill or a liar.

Agreed, from another veteran (USMC artillery, 2003-2011).

I know nothing about Rich's Military Service so I will give him the benefit of the doubt that what he says is true. When the Vietnam War began, I was learning how to pee in a toilet, so I have nothing but respect and gratitude for anyone who served in the Military, especially in a combat role.

With the above said however, as a retired police officer from here in New York City, I can only agree 100% with the above quote.
