.....and I say BULLSHIT she would. This video is the graphic depiction of crimes that happen everyday, many far worse. But this bastard should be pulled apart slowly with pliers on primetime TV. Life in a dark hole filled with rats would be too good a sentence for this devil.
I don't know New Jersey laws...so I have to ask: Who are the "NJ Guys" that have said she would go to jail if she had shot this goon ?? What I do know is that it's a damn good thing the poor woman didn't utter the "N" word while she was being beaten, or She would most certainly be thrown under the bus for being a RAAAACCCIIISSSTT.

The NJ guys I was referring to were just a bunch from another forum that live in NJ. I suspect they are just teabilly clowns that claim everything is a conspiracy aimed at grabbing their guns. I'm pro-gun too.....but I like to think I have some common sense as well. No DA/judge without a career death wish would get involved in a case like that with such graphic video.

I fully understand that they are paraphrasing the laws as written.
Do you think a white woman half the size of an afro-thug pummeling her repeatedly in her own living room in front of her children would be escalating if she shot him? Is she capable of defending herself with "similar force"? Do you think any DA/judge would think that?
I'm just trying to understand if the world has gone fucking crazy if that woman would be anything but a hero after that incident if she shot and killed him.

If some prowler enters your house while you are there and sees you have a gun and does not exit it is clear he has bad intentions. I would venture to say that anyone could arm themselves with a deadly weapon in seconds in some one elses house, kitchen knifes bottles and so on. Many of an intruder where found dead with a homeowners kitchen knife in his hand. The definition of self defense is simple I feared great bodily harm at that moment in time and I took steps to prevent it from happening. Who is to say that they couldn't disarm you and use your weapon against you if the person kept advancing on you, I say one step, two step BOOM and BOOM and Boom.....end of story

The reason I said that was many a person has accidentally entered the wrong house/apartment, including myself so you need to ascertain ill intent to justify the use of a gun. I had a person I worked with who after a night of drinking entered the front screen porch of the wrong house and passed out, his house didn't have a screened porch??? luckily the homeowner just called the police who got to the bottom of it.

I'm formerly from NJ and can honestly say that if you meet a NJ cop or prosecutor that isn't an ASSHOLE, you should check your location, your glasses or make an appointment with a pshrink to have your head examined...
Failing that listen carefully for Rod Serling's voice in the background
NJ is as liberal as most people believe California is...
Frankly NJ is likely WORSE.
If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day! Those who manage to provoke themselves into other activities have only themselves to blame.

I have no sympathy for someone who enters the wrong house in a drunken stupor. Actions have consequences. Someone cannot accidentally enter my house without breaking down a door. Under the circumstances I find it entirely reasonable to shoot anyone in my house who hasn't been invited.
