I'm not interested in concealed.....yet.....just want to carry on my right hip while trapping and utility working locally on the farm.

Ideally it would allow access to the firearm quickly.

What do you recommend?

Just throwing it out there but you may take a look at Bianchi's Accumold 7000 series. They have good coverage which will help keep the dirt out a little, especially in the thumb strap model and are easy on the wallet:http://www.opticsplanet.net/bi...ight-hand-17725.html

Then again, if you were willing to sacrifice a little more speed for a little more protection and durability, Bianchi's M12 is a good "field holster". I've used one in the military and still use one around the farm today. My current one (20 years old) has held GI M9's, 1911's and a Glock. I bet it would fit a P95, too. I have the thumbstrap kit for it but I usually leave the old flap on it as keeps the pistol cleaner.
Gunfighter holster? Definitely not. But, it is probably one of the best all purpose field holsters for large automatics.
You can find 'em used at surplus stores but if you want a new one:
