I'm carrying a new P238 in my back pocket. Little bulky but not too bad. It came with a pretty nice Sig holster that breaks up the profile nicely. Without a holster it could be carried in the front pocket but I wouldn't make that a habit.

According to online sources the Colt Mustang is 7+1. I had one about 1995. It prompted me to go out and buy a full size, MilSpec Springfield 1911.
My mistake, so make that 2 rounds.

Does anyone offer a decent boot/ankle/shoulder or inside the pants leather carry holster? I thought everyone carried the small pistola's in the front pocket...why would it be bad to do this,more extra wear maybe? Are these normally carried cocked and locked in a front/back pocket and is this safe without the grip safety like is built into the bigger 1911 45auto?What do you guys recommend for the best everyday public or just hikeing carry?

I wouldn't carry any gun in my front pocket consistently without a holster, like the nemesis for example, because of possible AD. Also, the Mustang/P238 are 1911 style with an exposed hammer and leaving it open and available to pocket lint and other detritus isn't good for your health, IMO.
BTW, I carry mine cocked and locked in a leather pocket holster in my hip pocket.

I carry my Mustang PocketLight sometimes in the front pocket when wearing shorts. It holds 6+1 and is small enough for an inside pocket of a jacket. But mostly a backup gun.

Some of the early P238's had a bad rap. From what I've heard, they have improved. Colt Mustangs left me cold. I would much prefer the Govt model. Only my opinion, though.
