Not much left to say. The entire Valor (VBob, full size Valor, and Valor Commander) line has been discontinued. The Specialist is still in the catalog. It is a Valor with a rail and Evolution Gun Works Mag well. I think the Valor and Silverback were the best price to build guns in the market. Maybe it caught up to DW. Wore my Silverback to Louisville and back today. The Silverback was a two tone Valor with adjustable sights last cataloged in 2016. Now, I know what those guys who complain about the Savage 99 being killed off feel like.

If DW was a small company then they would continue to produce small qty. of exceptional firearms. Being now owned by a larger and I suspect public company there will be pressure to make more money for investors. I really hope they can continue to produce the quality of product they have historically, In order to bring in more sells the have to entice the market with new gimmicks. accessory rails, threaded barrels, etc. As stated as long as they are able to sustain their stature as that position between custom and prodution they will be OK. I will hold on to my Valor and CBOB. I may look to acquire a 10 mm Bruin. I hate to see the Silverback go away. EZ

The Bruin is too much for me with the 6.3 inch barrel for a pure trail gun or range gun it would excel. Folks say the angled plug is a paint to manipulate for field striping. It is probably one of those things you get use to. I like the bronze and black styling two tone look of the Bruin. DW did release to distbutors bunch of high end Limited Edition Valor’s right before Christmas. One has a true caseharded frame with the duty treat slide faux ivory grips.
