Taser C2, getting frustrated

My wife got me a Taser C2 for Christmas. There has to be a lawyer involved in these things somewhere. I've been trying for 3 days to get an activation code. There really doesn't need to be an activation code, in my opinion. My thumbs are over 65 years old, somewhat arthritic and just getting the dart cartridge out of the protective plastic was a trial in it's self. These people are harder to deal with than a gun shop.

I'm at the stage where I want to send it back for a refund and just stick with my 9mm.

So why the tazer can't find enough 9mm ammo.

There are times when my carry gun might hinder me from actually using it. Walking our small dog on a beach for instance. I wouldn't have any problems tasing someone else's pet or a drunk neighbor at our vacation spot but might try to break-up a dog fight rather than shooting. I usually still carry my 9 mm Kahr, or my S&W 742, or if it is cold enough to hide, my 1911 45. It is nice to have choices.

By the way, the Taser came pre-activated since I live in NC. It would have saved me a lot of grief if there was a note to this effect when I bought the thing. I was following the instructions like a prudent owner should.

I carry spray or a walking stick as a 2nd choice when I think I need one.

Lots cheaper more then one shot and works well.

But each to his own

Hornet spray works well too, the kind that shoots a stream. They are just not very pocket friendly. I have a Golf Cart that I modified to haul tools, dead deer, whatever. and always keep a big can of hornet spray handy in one of the cup holders ready for first line of attack.

Speaking of dead deer, I was walking our dogs through our woods behind our house. Low & behold, across a small branch (running water about two feet wide) about 400 yds from our house was a very nice, big, perfectly balanced points, 4 point buck in the 180-200 pound range lying dead on the ground. Looked like a gut shot. I called the known deer hunters around our house to see if anyone was tracking and couldn't find their kill but no claimers.

One guy has a very nice "stand" and I use the term loosely. It is about 12 ft off the ground, with a roof, floor, windows on 4 sides and shooting slots below the windows. I guess there is no need to rough it to go deer hunting. Anyway, someone cut the lock off the door to his "stand" and apparently was using it to spotlight deer over bait. Baiting is OK around here sun-up to sun-down, spotlighting at night is not. The boys in the hood would sure like to catch this person or persons. I always were plenty of blaze orange, even on our property but sleazeballs would probably still shoot first and run.
