I highly recommend the Milt Sparks Summer Special. I have been using them for 25 years or so.

For a gun the size/weight of the XDS I would get one with the double belt loops as it prevents canting, and I also like the extended side that goes between your body/shirt and the side of the gun. Also get one with sight rails.

I have several of his Summer Specials, even one I use for a 4" S&W N Frame 44 Mag.

Also I still use the FIRST Summer Special I ever bought. They are very well made...

If you prefer the feel of leather next to your skin, Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 with kydex clips so you can tuck your shirt over the gun.

If you want kydex then Raven C.S.
RCS fits very close to the body, no movement on the draw stroke and quality product.

I like the Comtac Minotaur comfortable, tuckable, you can change out the belt clips with diff colors to match your belt the kydex makes for easier re-holstering..

I prefer Appendix IWB to 3-4 o'clock carry. More comfortable, conceals better, faster and easier to defend. Better access when back is against wall or ground. Works with reduced shoulder mobility.

I usually use a Dale Fricke "archangel" but I have an "extra tuck" AIWB coming from JM Kydex to try.

Yeesh! Too much hardware. Smiler

When I'm toting the Springfield XDS it is for a few hours, and not 24 hours a day. But regardless, I use a modified Remora holster at 11 a.m.

No straps, buckles, plastic, leather, etc.

And if you go smaller, like the Kahr 9mm, it's unnoticeable to wear.

But different strokes for ....

I will qualify my statement by noting that I have never tried an IWB other than the Remora. I have an OWB leather that works well with bulky clothing.

Upon Will's suggestion I purchased a Remora. Minimal bulk and it sticks where I put it. I have been very pleased. For 20$ it's worth the try. Then, if it doesn't work for IWB you can use it between your car console and the seat.

I use it for my XDs 45 and have one for a Smith 37-2 1.75 inch barrel.

They work well for me.

littlecanoe, I have looked up the Remora. As near as I can tell you need a very firm fit between pant and body for it to work well, as opposed to a conventional belt clip that will hold it and the gun to the pants whether tight or loose. Do you find this to be a problem? I find the Kydex holsters to be rather "bulky", for want of a better word. I do have a soft "pocket holster" for my Ruger LCR and find it works very well.
