A little off the night bore topic, but this is the spot I always post. I have been waiting for years for Illinois to get a ccw law. Finally, yesterday, the state legislature over road the anti gun govonors amendments. The state has 6 months to set up all training and requirements. All I can say is, ITS ABOUT TIME!!!

I lived in Illinios years ago and frankly have always been disgusted with their politicians and anti- gun views. With the highest murder rate in the country albeit exhibiting excellent genetic selection processes you would think that the wisdom of CCWs would finally sink in. -Rob

Glad that's not the only option these days. tu2

What most decent Illinois residents called the "three s'es)
1. Shoot em
2. Shovel em
3. Swear you never saw em

Govonor Quinn is still bitching about safety. His Chicago hometown area had 70you shootings and 12the fatalities just last week. His laws DO NOT protect anyone.

Glad to hear it. But don't get too excited. California has had CCW for years but it was up to the local Sheriff if you got one or not. Most counties the sheriff only issued them to his friends and it was impossible for any commoners to get one. Thankfully some of the counties have been able to elect sheriffs who see the value of an armed citizenry and CCW's are on the rise and crime is falling (who'd have thought!).
Hope they treat you right and don't do an end run around the law. tu2

The only thing Zimmerman did wrong was his failure to double tap!
CCW one -o- one.
The good news is he took " Travon" out before he could effectively pass on his defective genes to his retarded girlfriend.
Perhaps the "Glock" is the most useful genetic engineering too ever invented.

At least the Illinois law is a shall issue and not a may issue. After your training, they have to issue you a ccw permit with in 90 days.

Rob, this case should have never gone to trial. Since when does public opinion get to decide who gets put on trial. Certainly a mob mentality. Of course the Pres. is pushing for this.

This country has totally lost its way. This case has proven to me the Justice system has completely failed us, our government is a joke and the apathy and plain stupidity of the average american is beyond comprehension. I've followed this case carefully and that Judge is definately in Obamas pocket.
That we let this stuff continue is a reflection on us too.-Rob

Sad but true. I watch the news (on FOX) and wonder where my country went. It certainly isn't the country my dad fought for in WWII or that I was raised in.

Can you sift out what is true when you listen to Fox or any other news org.? In 1974 one of the Kansas City news stations was telling about a vicious stabbing that had ocurred. Guess what the picture was up in the corner of the screen? A revolver! Since then I haven't wasted much time in front of the nightly news. Maybe some of the networks are OK. Most of the above case has been a dog and pony show. Perhaps it has really been a case of Darwin at work. Sure has given the newsies a lot to flap their lips about.

Semms like the jury agreed with Fox News reporting. NOT GUILTY Basically a trial because of politics and emotion. Defense had all the facts on there side.
