The local news just featured a story where a 60 year old man awoke last night to find two intruders in his home, intent on burglary. Having a pistol, the homeowner armed himself and confrtonted the intruders, shooting both of them. One POS burglar died at the scene, and the other was arrested a few hours later at a hospital where he'd gone for treatment of his gunshot wound. Then....

Sheriff's deputies invesitgating the burglary and shooting discovered that the homeowner was a convicted felon who was banned for life from posessing any firearms. He's been arrested for being a felon in possesion, but authorities did note that they haven't charged him in the shooting of the 2 POS burglars and don't have any iminent plans to do so.

Talk about ironic!

The news report didn't say. They only said the guy woke to two burglars in his home and that he killed one of them on the spot and the other was wounded and found at the hospital.
