Limiting this query to the United States since 1 January 2010, how many mass murder incidents - four or more deaths as part of a single act by one or more perpetrators - have not occurred in what were legally "gun free zones?" As I understand state laws, properly posted notification in an entity accessible to the public constitutes "legally." And, of course, buildings rendered "gun free" by statute, such as schools, courthouses, post offices, etc. are included.

While I tend to avoid [pandering] news concerning such incidents, I am unaware of a single mass murder incident where victims had, at least, an opportunity to be armed. A complementary facet of this query might be to ask how many attempted mass murder incidents have occurred since 1 January 2010 in places that were not "gun free zones?" Again, I am unaware of a single such attempt. However, I am interested in the outcome of any.

It is gratifying, in a left-handed way, that there are so few such incidents compared with potential opportunities.

Excellent commentary by Dr. John Lott. Gun free zones should be eliminated.

Or if we cannot remove them--
Maybe we can get "a Designated Defender Law" passed-
like a "designated driver" but armed

Many thanks for these links. I wish they were current. Having typed that, I suspect change will be ponderously slow. . . . But I detect a tiny awakening of sachel - a delightful Yiddish word that means common sense.

Yeah, funny how you never read about a mass shooting incident happening at a gun club. Gee, I wonder why?

Israel figured this out long ago. Since there are armed teachers + voluntary guards, they have no problems. The problem with the libtards are that they keep foolishly fighting for something after they have lost sight of their goal.

The problem is also that the gov'mint doesn't trust anyone except themselves, which means We The People can't be trusted to protect ourselves and our families (according to the gov'mint). If the gov'mint was actually run by We The People instead of professional politicians, there would not be a problem and there would be no need of Free Fire Zones (aka Gun Free Zones).
