I spent last summer with the Beretta 92G and traditional double action. Enjoy. http://modernserviceweapons.com/?author=26 ____________________________________________ "If a man can't trust himself to carry a loaded rifle out of camp without risk of shooting somebody, then he has no business ever handling a rifle at all and should take up golf or tennis instead." Nice article, but there are still a few of us old curmudgeons that prefer locked and cocked 1911s and Browning Hi Powers...Berettas are large in the grip and awkard to some of us. Interesting article I have shot tens of thousands of rounds through double/single action autos mostly Rugers and Smiths. In my 33 years as a LEO and have trained many hundreds of LEOs in their use as my 500 man department senior firearms instructor. With proper training I see very little difference in using them. As with any tool learning to use them properly is the key. I still own and carry such auto's along with all the others. Any body who can shoot a double action revolver accurately can shoot a double/single action auto just fine.

The Beretta 92 series shoot just fine but they don't stand up well to a lot of shooting. .

Nice article. Like p-dog said, I think training is the key to all shooting. I know I certainly like my CZ DA/SA pistols. The only other comment I might have is that I usually don't let the trigger on my Glock follow all the way forward between shots either. Just habit and competition, I guess.
