SaeedThis sort of thing has been reported every time a non Western country gets it.
Korea, South Africa, Russia.
Qatar is sadly being quiet about answering some of these allegations.
Take the the beer for instance.
Qatar never, Never, agreed that beer will be served in the stadiums.
FIFA screwed up by signing an agreement with Budweiser.
Hoping they will convince Qatar to change their minds.
Human rights??
A load of bloody bullshit that so many thousand died building these stadiums!
Bloody hell, with these numbers they would have had several dead every day!
Trouble Joe public is too stupid to know this.
By the way, Europe accused the US of bribing FIFA to award it the WC in the past too!

pointblankBULLSHIT! Practically the whole of FIFA’s upper management was indicted over the bribes. This was over a much longer period than just the last couple cups, too.

jdollarBBC has an interesting podcast online now about the fall of FIFA upper management due to the Russian bid for 2018 and Qatar for2022. A lot of folks ended up in jail for offering and accepting bribes. Seth Blatter got the boot and heads of a lot of national African and other third world nation football association presidents got indicted. Russia bought their bid acceptance and so did Qatar. I loved it when the Iranian team refused to sing their national anthem today in protest of their authoritarian theocracy. Of course, they will probably all be dead or imprisoned in a few weeks.

jdollarAlcohol is still available at World Cup games- if you have the money. It has fuckall to do with Islam and everything to do with greed. Qatari laws obviously have a high degree of flexibility.
