Any particular time of the year thats best , or likely to produce better results than others?

Not necessarily for top trophies , more for the experience and likelyhood of success.

Two ripping thumpers both well over the 30 mark were rolled over the past w/end which makes for their owners the best time.
But for pure hunting enjoyment when the snakes, ants and other bities are gone for the winter it is a time of more comfort and its the time traditionally to hunt for them.Of course the comfort is often not so with a real wet winter.

I remember one of our best ever 10 day hunts was one of nine days of rain and the tenth it snowed, the weather was shite but the hunting a delight.

June to October is a good span, mind you Oct can be unseasonably warm some years and that makes for much discomfort in our bush.

To pick the best three months would be July Aug,Sept.

I will poke around a little more as winter draws closer,I have been seeing a few marks around the water holes recently to let me know that they are moving back to their usual haunts.

I havent stopped cobber haha,we have had an inch of slow soaking rain and although not enough it has changed dust back to dirt you can see a mark in,I cant get into a lot of places due to road closures etc (fires) that are still in force.
