Quote: I also remember something like this and decided it was time to add a couple more, just in case. There is a "chance" if general numbered limits are ever introduced that pre-existing owners in excess will not be required to reduce. Probably not get permission to buy anything else or more of course. Quote: I wouldn't do this until it is absolutely necessary. Don't accept the BS from them and don't pander to their unjust laws until we are forced too. The word gun owners need to use more is "OPPRESSION". As that is what it is. When a Prime Minister says his governments objective is "to reduce the number of firearms in the country" with no other "social" objective like reducing crime, and introduces laws to make life difficult for gun owners - this covers all the definition of the word "oppression". And it is a word which gets attention. An "oppressive government", an "oppressive attitude, law" etc, "oppression against a minority". Normally associated with dictatorial governments of a marxist or facist leaning.

Fergus - Peter told me if you want to purchase a third rifle in one cartridge you better have a good reason why you need it. I remeber about 12 years ago for a while there was talk of, if you want another firearm hand one in/sell one. I bought a shotgun at that time and the dealer said I should get rid of one and state as much on the permit to aquire (which there was space for)
