All Blacks thrash Wallabies to retain Bledisloe Cup

A ruthless All Blacks retained the Bledisloe Cup for an 18th straight year in record-breaking style Saturday, blitzing a young Australian team 43-5 to reinforce their trans-Tasman dominance.

After winning 27-7 in Auckland, which followed a tense 16-16 draw in Wellington, they accomplished their mission in Sydney by their biggest ever winning margin against the Wallabies, with one match of the series to go next week.

Fly-half Richie Mo'unga bagged 23 points to ensure bragging rights went to New Zealand coach Ian Foster, who like his opposite number Dave Rennie is in charge for his first Bledisloe Cup tournament.

Thats pales to insignificance against the news that the former Minister of Conservation will not be the Minister in this new government

Muzza,
Two great results, and very welcome.
But I agree that having Eugenies pushed aside is cream on the cake. I will allow myself a little hope even with this Labour govt. I know Labour is not the best friend of hunters but surely even they must have noted the Eugenies behaviour and actions must have pushed the boundaries of legality as she certainly ruptured any basic goodwill historically built between hunters and DOC.

Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

Yep agree with all of you. It will remain to be seen. I'm hoping for a dialling back of the craziness, and maybe a cut in funding for some of the extreme policies that effect us. However thats tempered by knowing the same staff are running things within DOC. Make no mistake this is not a new issue. Hunter interests have been pushed aside for at least a decade now and all that happened with Sage, was those people were given thier head.

Sorry Frank, that we cant get off this subject, but it, as most can see, is heavy on our- (the hunting communities) minds.

The Rugby is a great result, and actually Im looking forward to seeing if Dave Rennie can have a positive effect on the Wallabies. I hope so as a strong Aussie team is desirable for our sport.

You are correct, that's why I said "some good news" and not "some great news" Big Grin
