Ok Muzza,

The show was great, quite a few over seas outfitters and lots of local ones too. Also a good supply of retailers and wholesalers with their goods to share.
Oh, I almost forgot, there was a few from En Zed as well Wink

Cheers,
Mark.

Thanks Gryph , I vaguely remember where and what Australia is ... Big Grin

I was sorta thinking that maybe someone who went might have a little more in-depth report on the event since it sounded like a good day out. And maybe a few more pics as well .

With the number of Aussie members on here there must have been more than Matt , Gryph and Mark R there ?????

I was there of course but I didnt take any photos sorry... just spent five weeks traveling round hunting shows eh!! Smiler Dont take too many photos any more!!

I thought the show was great. The crowd was pretty huge for where it is and I met a LOT of very keen people from all over Aust. Didnt get to see much of the exhibits... too busy most of the time.

I was there, and like Matt, as an exhibitor (XTEK Sporting http://www.xtek.net/XTEK_Sporting.htm but didn't take any pics.

The show was a great success, and had a great variety of exhibitors - from retail gunshops, importers/distributors such as ourselves, custom gunmakers, engravers, stockmakers, outfitters, knives, clothing, camping, cooking gear, clubs, shooting organisations and lots of others - just about anything related to hunting/shooting/fishing was represented.

If I recall correctly, there were about 120 exhibitors, the firearms being displayed in an old winery, most of the others housed in two large marquees and some accommodated in tents in a paddock.

Given the location (Rutherglen) the attendance was great - approx 12,500 to 15000 people over the two days.

One thing I was particularly pleased to see were the number of families who went through, even though the weather was hot and very humid.

This is like one of those 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles...

We have about 10 percent of the puzzle laid out , just need some more pieces to fit and we will start to see the picture emerging...

the next show is in two years, ample time for the poorly paid in NZ to save enough dough to come over for it and see for themselves and possibly get a hunt in while here.

I can't believe how many people were there but it was good to see how many women and kids were there.
I haven't seen so many outfitters in one place at any one time before.
I bought a new CZ in 500 Jefferies
