Remington 7mm mag in a SAKO mod 75, corelokt factory ammo about 220 meters. Just make sure you hit a bone on the lighter animals like this juvenile. You need never question the 7mm mags reliability on any of the heavier animals you listed. I have trailed a fallow with a through and through wound just below the spine that went through both ribs and severed the descending aorta the animal was down and dead 150 meters away. Placement is very important with the 7mm Mag on the smaller animals | |||

I have had a couple of 7mm mags and have battled to get factory ballistics from them - particularly with ADI powders. I now have a 270 Wby and thats a very different story. I would pitch that cal against a 7mm mag any day of the week! And I would guess the 7mm Wby would be just a bit more of the same. Just my humble experience...... | |||
