6 weeks away all up and 9500 ish Km on the clock. My god its a boring drive! Got to Amberley and froze for the first week. It was good to have a car however as I got to visit the olds and a mate who lives in Canungra, now thats a nice place, town folk are a bit clicky but. thumbdown

I got a phone call while I was away from the wife. Seems my male childrens python Bob had escaped (kids let out) and was at large in the house. I was a bit annoyed that it was let out and the wife had a few weeks of sleepless nights (she hates snakes)I told he to put the rat cage in the snake room and if the snake was still there it would come out when it smelled the rats. Of course she didn't do it. I got home yesterday, put the rat cage in the room and had caught the snake within a few hours animal All those sleepless nights for nothing. And some good news, my female childrens python layed 11 viable eggs dancing I hope they all hatch......anybody want to buy a snake? sofa

Seems there has been some nastie posts/shit stirring going on while I was away. It seems to have calmed down now however which is good. Gents (and ladies)there are a lot of different personality's on this site some strong, others not so. Lets try to keep things civil at least, we are all adults after all.

Why Bakes - who could you possibly mean?

Good to have you back all the same .

How do you know your python eggs are viable ? Do you have a boy and a girl python ( I guess you need both unless snakes are hermaphrodites? ) Any chance of some eggs photos ?

Muzza,I have two female and one male childrens pythons and a female darwin carpet python. Now after they lay the female coils around them to incubate them. She does this by shivering creating heat. BUT you get a better hatch rate if you incubate them artifically as these are being done by a mate of mine. To check if they are viable you go into a dark room and shine a small torch on them and check for veins in the egg. Veins is a good sign but it doesn't always mean the egg will hatch. I'll post some pics as soon as I get them from my mate.

Wiz, I heard you've been getting stuck into them.

A lot of people insult each other in jest all the time, which is all good fun, but unfortunately when one fellow started throwing them around seriously I guess he got answered. shame I would hope we were above that sort of crap here.

Guess he can't help himself which he is again proving.

Hey Muzza, how are you doing? Wink

No bushfires near me, but it is windy which is not good. Close to the driest year in history so the likelihood and very bad bushfires this year in high. We are not even in the fire ban season yet!
