Whats your opinion of pig chillers? Have they stuffed up some hunting areas? Do you think the goverment getting into the act with the accreditation course is a good thing?

I haven't used a chiller for just under 20 years. We used go away for a couple of weeks hunting, drop a couple of decent pigs into the box, get the cheque made out to C Ash, walk over the road to the pub and swap the cheque for beer tickets. Being able to sell a couple of pigs meant staying out longer.

Accreditation has ruined this for me. We tried to get an Accredited local to run a couple into the box last time we were out, 50/50 split. He wouldn't be in it said it would mess his tax around too much. If you swap tax with dole I think you'd be closer to the mark.
