An Update I heard on the local radio news up here that the police are looking at charging the savior of the two the croc attacked with fire arm charges . Says everything about the police to be honest might as well treat them at the same level, as criminals, politicians and used car sales people get no respect give no respect. Sad realy

Maybe the campers could sue the police for neglience for not being at the campsite to protect campers from becoming victims of a dangerous animal. Using their own "logic". Almost always these court cases are a waste of time with lots of public money being spent, the innocent citizen almost bankrupted with legal fees and the case thrown out of court. Someone should put up a "BEWARE OF CROCODILES" sign on the Parliament House in Brisbane and Police HQ. As they say never trust a crocodile.

Anyone heard anything? Someone said at a shoot last week-end he used a handgun. If a handgun was used that would put our hero on a sticky wicket.

4 shots from a Glock 9mm apparently. No qualms here with me as this just proves how useful a firearm can be. I heard that the reason his mother was so badly mauled was that he had to load the Glock. Bob Katter came out early and said that the police would no doubt charge the "hero". This may have had a beneficial effect as they are backing away from charging him as he was "intransit to a recognised pistol range" I believe. Have an accquaintance who was one of the early people on the scene involved in the nearby AQIS cull.

Lots of smart people carry a pistol in the North. Of course it is recommended to be in transit to a range. More proof pistols should be legal for more than range shooting.
