The ignorant d/head wants to read his history.

In the mid-nineteenth century Afghan camelmen played a critical role in opening up the vast Australian outback to Europeans. In these times camel trains were a crucial life support system to outback communities. The cameleers came from Afghanistan, Pakistan and the Turkish empire and their labour and skills in hot, dry arid conditions made possible a number of key projects including the Overland Telegraph Line between Adelaide and Darwin, the Queensland Border Fence, the Transcontinental railway Line between Port Augusta, South Australia and Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, and the Rabbit Proof fence and Canning Stock Route in Western Australia. Cameleers were also vital to the early wool and mining industries Whats more, some of the exploratory expeditions which traversed the most inhospitable parts of Australia only survived due to the expertise and endurance of the cameleers in the hot and waterless land (they were also dependent upon Indigenous Australian skill and knowledge of country).

There are still remnants of these Afghan histories in many Australian cities the date palms in Alice Springs, cemeteries in Broken Hill, Marree, Coolgardie and elsewhere, and mosques in Adelaide and Perth. Camel races continue in various parts of the country, while the train line that connects southern Australia to Alice Springs is still referred to as the Ghan in honour of the early contributions to this country of Afghan people. And, of course, camels themselves remain an enduring part of life in northern Australia

Just shows the level of intelligence of the average Muslim al-Qaeda supporter in Australia.

This is the same jerk that made comments in Lebanon praising the World Trade Centre bombings and later claimed he was "mis-quoted".

NitroX,

Shows the level of intelligence of the jokers wherever they are. I can assure their fellow Qaeda members in other parts of the world are no better. Some Qaeda mythology even speaks of an Emir Ka discovering America and says that Shakeapeare was an Arab called Shaikh Zubayr.

Maybe Australia should declare open season on them like you do on other foreign animal species.

'Shoot ferals', the ubiquitous rear window sticker on most utes springs to mind...

Quote:
"But when you become acquainted with their traditions among their tribes, you find that they have customs such as circumcision, marriage ceremonies, respect for tribal elders, and burial of the dead – all customs that show that they were connected to ancient Islamic culture before the Europeans set foot in Australia."

I thought these also Jewish customs?? My understanding (limited though it is) would suggest that ALL of these 'customs (perhaps not circumcision(?)) have been practised for generations, across many, many cultures...

My God!!! It just occured to me that my forefathers (Welsh) discovered Australia, and that they must have got here by carrick... after all, they were miners, and look at how many mines there are in Australia now!!

Ah well, better brush up on the Welsh language again, before... well, before something...

The really frightening thing is that there will be some people out there who believe it...

Mehul

It is amazing how primitive these jokers are. I mean how can anyone believe in this crap. This means all those settlements by Vikings is just crap? Even sheep's are brighter than Al-Qaeda members

I heard that Shakespeare real name was Sheijkh Al-Spehar

Season for vermin's should be open all year. The number of legs are irrelevant for the classification vermin's

Cheers

Mehul , Its surprising what crap people will believe.

Currently my country supports safety legislation to protect us from our own selves in a thousand areas, yet gun owners get upset when they realise the same legislation targets dangerous things like guns.

If you can doll up a shit sandwhich well enough most people will take a bite.

And anyone not eating will soon have some fed to him by a concerned eater.

As to the level of intelligence targeted by the above- live sermons to an emotional crowd can look pretty funny on paper. The written propaganda would be equally bullshit but a bit higher brow..I'd hope.

Karl.
