I took my 17AH and 17 Rem to the range yesterday to check their zero in anticipation of a little fox/cat hunting in a few weeks. A couple of young shooters came over and said that they never heard of those big seventeens but had a mate with a new 17HMR. Cost wise, I reload the 17AH for half the cost of the new rimfire. The lads were also amazed when I started swing the practice pig at 300m on the silhouette range with my HB Sako 17 Rem.
Anyone else still own or shooting their 'little guns'
