So my Aussie Cussies

I'm going to be in Melbourne in early Sept for a few days (training) and then I'll have a few free days to look around (with the old storm and strife in tow - maybe I'm gonna be in tow unless I can come up with a plan !!).

Are there any must see gunshops I could bolt to in the city or its environs - any good smiths who would humour me for a short visit ?? I'll have a look at Ned Kelly's armour but thats about the limit of the museum stuff I think I could stand.

So what the hell else am I going to do besides drive around up country ( I gotta see Bendigo and Ballarat too I guess)

Cheers - Foster

Hello Greg - well I would just "slide" on up there, except that the boss is paying the airfares, and I'm on his time . . . for some reason he wants me back pronto (I guess thats a back-handed compliment if ever there was one) so I only get a few free days to look around - maybe next time.

Cheers

Gidday Foster,

I thought that you were financing the trip with that savage 243 you are selling lol.

You gotta love it when the boss sends you on a junket. I miss that now my boss is a real tight arse (self employed).

Drop DCM who posts here a PM as he works in a gunshop in Melbourne and is a really good guy. Dave or one of the boys will be able to give you a few pointers.

Happy Hunting

Hamish

Hello Hamish . . . . Hmmm - funny you say that, SWMBO sorta mentioned that she had $1000 pocket money saved up, and that I'd better match it or else. Since mine has been running between my fingers a bit (I have an action at Allan Carrs just now) I thought a few toys had better go.

I'll follow up those leads, thanks
