TrackersNZ Thanks for the answers. I have hunted fenced properties and will do so again. But there are definitely fenced hunting properties and others are ..... I have to say I think 400 acres is very small. Lots of cover does make a difference but if the cover was truly heavy and hunting pressure high my guess is the animals would turn nocturnal. But 400 acres would only support in a 'mature' herd only 2 to 4 stags ????? I think a 60 acre fenced "game farm" is called a deer farm. I believe it is common practice to release stags for the hunting season into these blocks. I have had the opportunity of hunting free-range stags but released say 3 months prior (when still legal) and they were easy as sh*t and stupid as hell. Nothing like the inferior wild stags of the area which I was more interested in hunting. I would be ashamed to have a stag like that on my wall whether it has 12 or 27 points and shooting tame animals is not hunting. | ||
