This is something we yanks rarely hear about. Big suprise huh ? We face serious challenges here in this election year. The political anti-firearm scum has gotton wise and they no longer use this as a platform for election. This scares the living buggers out of me as so many people funtion in the out of sight out of mind mentality. BAW; We have a few 6' assholes here too. we just beat the shit out of the ones that act like Nazis

Problem is, I was forced to provide one serious muther-fucker vault to store my 152 which cost me $3500 to meet their unreal requirements on top of the cost of the steel cabinets I already had! No body ever stole them in the 30 years before this bullshit started! Footnote: 2GB (Sydney) 12:00 News 06/02/2004 - 12:05 PM An investigation is underway into the theft of at least nine handguns lost from police officers in the last few years.

JohnT: Glad to hear your experiences, they are on a par with mine here in the Northern Territory. I can't believe some of the crap I hear about the behaviour and attitude of the storage inspectors in other states, which incidentally is giving Australia a bad name in the global shooting community. Safe storage is a serious issue, and perhaps the one good thing to come out of the whole post-PortArthur train-smash. I certainly don't want anyone ripping off my guns! A bloody serious safe can be bought for the cost of just one fine firearm, there's simply no excuse!
