If my vintage finishes early I'm hoping to get over to Kangaroo Island in April to chase some of the Island's pigs. Been a year since the last visit. Plus some wallaby and possum culling for shooting practice. The island's pigs are clean so I want to harvest some wild pork. Got to get over before the country gets too wet otherwise too easy to get bogged.

I've got a week in Byron Bay over Easter where I hope to get some fishing and spearfishing done, then hunting pigs in N.W. of Bourke in one of my favourite areas in the first week of April. After that, I'll be shooting rabbits and foxes around Victoria... If time and spending money permit I might take off for another serious hunt or dive trip after that, I'll worry about that once I'm home and see how it all goes. It's good to get home for holidays!

Next week I'm off chasing fallow. Not necessarily stags but this year we have to cull does. I'm working on a 180 gn load for the hard thumpin' 35 Whelan. Any excuse to work up a new load. Later on in about June, hopefully I will be chasin' Chital. Malcolm

I'll have to load up some 100 grainers for the 243, I'm moving from Kalgoorlie back to Queensland. Aiming to get stuck into some piggets, go oats, DUCKs , and some fishin. Of course, the size of the pigs around home may require me to get a 30/06 (darn, thats another gun I'll have to buy, and my missus wont let me buy 2nd hand) Aint nuthin deader than overkill

Porkers near Darwin in Aug. / Sept. if I get off my bum and organise it .Done a bit of fox bashing in the past few days . The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.
