Well we have been having a yarn ot two on the ethics of using a chopper to either shoot a mountain game species from or to be dropped off within a shots distance of a game animal as in tahr or chamois and there are many many international and local but generally wealthy hunters that take their "trophies" in this manner,so then its apparently ok for these people to do this can someone that supports this "take" please inform me if its ok to take a big Cape Buffalo bull from a chopper...much fucking safer of course and much easier i would imagine also.

Why not take that 60" Kudu bull or better still that black maned lion from a chopper or from nearby after he has been run a little to make him stand a bit better for the shot!
Frig it, why worry about the extra expense shoot him in the pen instead! Just like some of these tahr/chamois trophies are taken...maybe not in the pen sense as in a small 1/2 acre enclosure but a pen of some sort with a high fence around it to stop the animals from getting back up high to their mountain stronghold.Better still forget the chopper, forget the pen just purchase a taxidermied animal of choice to hang over the mantle.
The bottom line? Anyone that watches wildlife films on the idiot box would have seen African elephants being culled from a chopper...easy stuff eh why not "hunt" them from a chopper then, surely those that use a chopper for other game would have to agree with this...hmmm?

I guess "culling" from a chopper is one thing but "hunting" from a chopper is another altogether.

I would sure like to think that does not happen but I suppose there is always someone who will stoop that low to get their trophy.

I think that the actual circumstances of a lot of these "trophies" being aired in public is a good thing.

As I have said many times, if as a lot of people say it is fine and honourable, why then is it all so hush-hush how it was ACTUALLY done?!
