About 20km north of Glenn Innes a nice fallow buck crossed the road in front of me. Almost (little bit of tan) jet black.

A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" He said "Her brother's got a moustache!"

My (fenced) Fallow are fawning at present. Yesterday evening I saw the first black fawn for years. Colour genetics in Fallow is so complex you never know what recessive genes are going to pop up. Also watched two wild (escaped ?) does trying to get in through the fence.

Fallow stags can certainly be impressive on the run. We saw a big orangey one cross in front of our truck and it left a big impression on my memory.
