Good place for a road trip ,the NT. Big open roads, no speed limits so you dont have to concentrate full time on the speedo. Gotta take the missus on a similar trip next year.

But then we drive diesels up there and have to get off the road to avoid road trains.
Maybe its changed since the last time I drove all the way up.

Have a good trip, NitroX. I went through the Great Central road to Queensland in January, I wished I had a use for 3/4 ton camel meat but oh well.Camel backstraps are beautiful.

I heard there was a nice pub in Tennant Creek. A lovely topless waitress pub. Last time we passed through there a couple of guys had an argument in the toilet and one shot the other. His mates then dragged the dead guy outside and propped him against the wall and went back inside to drink. The bullet holes in the wall were a tourist attraction
