Does anybody know of insurers specifically providing cover while hunting overseas ? All the NZ based insurers I checked out excluded hunting cover, and events directly or indirectly related. Also no firearms cover while firearms are in use. A while back I checked a few USA based insurers offering hunting cover but most benefits were for USA residents only while any cover for non USA residents was very limited, if offered at all.

I found Suresave more accommodating than some, though coverage while actually hunting was limited a bit. The first time I used them I got snowed in at ChCh for three days, during which I stayed at a motel and ate and drank wine in my normal fashion. On returning home I submitted my expenses to them and they coughed up without question.
