Guys, I have an 1859 tower muzzle loader and it has its origional stock The bloody thing is cracked, worm holes every where etc. Anybody know of a good stock maker? And do you have contact details? ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. I said "How can you tell them apart?" Yep, go with Geoff Slee, as good as you will find and not too expensive. As for Darrel Stevens, I hear the Ipswich shop has closed and all business is now at the Carina store. Anyone know any different? BTW, since he is just starting out at stockmaking, you might get a good deal from Darrel? Worth a try. Cheers, Dave. Non Illegitium Carborundum Cheers, Dave. Bakes, If the stock is "crooked" how about reparing it with Accu-glass or some thing simular. I have seen quite a few broken or damaged stocks fixed this way. Use the gel for the cracked parts and inject the liquid type into the worm holes. This would save some $$, and the recoil should not be all that heavy. I am guessing that this is a .577" and service charges were generally around 60gr of ffg. This would also be much quicker than having a new stock made up. Then you can go shoot some "Spotty pigs" for Ann.
