We are planning to visit some relatives near Auckland next summer and would like to do some hunting aswell.(gang of five)

Can anyone direct me to a website with good info about available gamespecies, licenses, gunimport, costs and people to contact?

Looking forward to your reply!

Reindeer,
Next summer, do you mean the European or NZ summer, ie July August or Dec Jan?

Not the best time of the year for North island Hunting , just miss the duck season , still some pheasant and quail season left , and awfull weather for bush hunting for deer .

Dress for cold and wet conditions, imagine conditions similar to Oregon in the winter and you wont be far wrong .

But hey , you will be in a different country and chasing different species so enjoy whatever you manage to do .

I met this outfit at the Safari Club Convention in Reno this past year. They looked like a good outfit but I can't make it this year; will plan on next year:
