If the Israeli .308 has a good bore, it would be a shame to chop it up. At the same time, the 9.3x62 is a great cartridge which hasn't received the attention, in this country, that it should have had.

You might also consider one of the new Voere 2155s in 9.3x62. Granite Arms has one in country at the moment and if you bought it - you would save me from buying it when I am trying to reduce my collection instead of expanding it!!!!!

I don't much like the hogs back on them, much prefer the American stock. I do like the calibre though.

I was looking through some old shooting mags yesterday and saw an advert for a marlin guide gun in 45-70 and I thought gee I'd like one of those To many guns not enough money

Hey I see you havn't got the whole sizing thing down pat yet

M98,

are they cz's or re worked Brno VZ 24's ??, and are they the minnesota cz rifles that utilise rem 700 bases and mounts or do they have the square bridge integral mounts like most other cz's ??

Bakles, I have a cz lux 9.3x62 and since it is not a standard order it took neally a year to get in; but it is a great little rifle for sure and you could do worse than order one in. They ordered 4 in and I know one went to rebel sport in Qld, I am not sure if they still have it. It holds 6 shots and shoots speer 270 gr pills very well, will use woodleigh 250's or 286's once I run out of speers I think.

Rifle also comes well set up with double cross bolts and a proper "F" style barrel lug. I have just had it bedded by Bob at Kudud Services as it had a little play in the forend.

Yeah but I don't like the 308 Muzza

What about 308 Winchester

Hog Killer

Hog Killer,

I would probably go for the 308 Win as well.

The 308 Muzza looks good at first but the barrel burns out pretty quickly. Also it developes hangfires and in factory rifles the action comes apart after light abuse.

We had one here for hunting for a while. Did okay until it ran into a big nasty bull. Now it only sees small game use and occasional plinking

Karl.
