Yeh we all know about RM Williams, but there is fine boot making company in Vic. worth considering.Harold. I find them to be a superior constructed and better fitting boot. http://www.haroldboot.com.au/ These in particular, they have a leather flap over the elastic, and a plain drab tanned finish. http://www.haroldboot.com.au/det/2/155/1/Work%20Boots/boots/Gardener/ Do shop around. DavidJonesDepartmentStore has them for au$365, while www.everythingaustralian.com.au has them for au$253. Ian Harold Boots The Harold Boot Co can be traced back to the 1400’s in Leicestershire where Ian Harold’s ancestors were bespoke boot makers. At the beginning of the 1700’S the family employed over 40 shoemakers. In the late 1800’s the company started in Australia. Over the ensuing years, the company has consolidated its range with the factory now specialising in Australian country footwear and traditional English footwear. Continuing a proud tradition, Ian Harold is today still in charge of the factory’s production.

I'm kinda attached to my Bludstones for work and leisure until they are falling apart or someone suggests (strongly) that they need replacing. R. M. Williams boots are good but they take a LOT of wearing in.

I have inspected Harold boots a few years back, the ones I looked at lacked a final inspection for quality.I now buy my new boots(Steel Blue and Taipan)on ebay for less than $65.Last set of Bludstones have been going for two years,on their last now. They're all more comfy than my RM's,and I'm way in front. Regards,Shaun. Kids in the back seat cause accidents, accidents in the back seat cause kids.
