Found a tin of this stuff at a Darwin gun shop. ITS GREAT!! so easy, one squirt leave it over night and patch out, no fumes, no worries. $24 a tin though...still good stuff.

Wipeout also does the trick on Cosmoline.I sqiuired some into the magazine of a SMLE No 4 that I recently bought and the cosmoline just ran out like water.
Bakes,
Do not get this stuff on your woodwork! It will strip the finish and stain the wood.

I'm also a WipeOut convert, simply amazing stuff. I've found that leaving it overnight is great but dry patching and then following with a scrub 24 hours later using a nylon brush with Sweets raises even more copper from a seemingly clean bore.
Cheers...

Damn you guys. Now I'm going to have to buy some. Lucky I know who stocks some here in Brisbane. I'll be in there tomorrow before you lot guess where it is. I am sure they have at least two tins.

Hux,
Please share your secret location. I rang / visited 3 shops on the southside, all "asked what's wipeout?" one bloke even asked "what's a bore cleaner?" SMLE owner, no doubt.

Guys,
Has anyone using Wipeout tried modifying the delivery nozzle? Hate wasting such good stuff, especially in the smaller bores.
Thanks...

Con,
Use a section of the clear plastic tube available from pet shops/aquariums used on airators.

I just got some the other day. The third rifle I've used it on is soaking as I type. At this point, I'm thinkin it's slicker than snot on a doorknob. I think one can oughta' do 10-12 guns at least? It goes for $10-11 US here.

I found that it does not get heavy copper out even when reapplied

416SW,
For really heavy copper, nothing works as well or cheaply as a warmed up barrel filled with household ammonia. Give it a good scrub and leave for an hour or so and presto....
Cheers...
