I still havent got my magazine yet and its the 24th of the month, i called them 3 times and they said ''its on the way'' as they have sent half the magazines by a Different ''New'' courier or company to see if they are any ''Good '' somehow i dont think so

On Thursday last week they said " the next day of so" but still not received yet.

Pretty bloody poor planning by whovever was in charge of this project.

I emailed them last week and they said there has been a hold up with the september issue and I should receive it in a few days , its been a few days and it still not here ! Its been in the news agents for a couple of weeks though .

Received mine about 3 weeks ago, mate over in S.A. is still waiting for his..someones screwed up..

Isn't it normal for it to be sent to subscribers well after it appears on newstands?

I for one am never happy about this, treating subscribers (and members) as second class. For example anything good in the classifieds is well gone by the time the magazine arrives in the post.

I know I have seen some BS reasons for this, something about scheduling etc etc etc, but in reality it is possible to SCHEDULE it the other way round, ie subscribers get it first or at a similar time.

It's been in the newsagents around here for the past couple of weeks too. It used to arrive by OzPost within a day or two of appearing in the newsagents.

Mine finally arrived on Saturday, claiming "Hand Delivered to you by PMP Distribution" on the address sheet.

If you blokes can't get your copies on time in Australia, guess I'll be waiting a while til mine shows up here in Switzerland!

Actually I remember one issue a little while back that I received here before JohnT got his in Sydney. So you never know....

The adds are the only thing that interests me in it also ! but by the time you receive the Thang in the mail its too late ! still hasnt arrived as of today ! When you subscribe to a magazine, it should be cheaper and arrive before it does at the newsagent, the people at SSAA arent doing their job as far as iam concerned ,i placed many adds in the for sale section and half the time they never ''appear '' so i dont know what they do down there ??? drink coffee all day and talk about other things

After seeing it on the stand at the local newsies, for 3 weeks, the SSAA can get fucked. That's the last years membership they get out of me.
Think I might just stick with F&G.

Make sure you let them know why your dropping out! I'm still waiting after 2 months for any response to an email I sent the Editor regarding the amount of advertising being done by certain importers, plus the reviews (always favourable) of their goods.
I think the only reasons its No1 in circulation is because its mailed out to members.
Otherwise as GBB said ... G&G is a mile ahead in its quality/content.

Mine Turned up on a saturday, some joker put it on top of the mail box. I gotta say I`m not in the SSAA soley for the magazine. I usually flick straight to Tony Cleavers ad, then to the classifieds. edit, It always used to arrive dead on the first working day of the month.

Most of the hunting articles seem to be reserved for their "Hunter" quarterly magazine now.

The monthly magazine seems to be more a 'club' magazine.

Might be just me but I'm not really that fussed about "Hunter" quarterly either. Its not in the same league as Guns and Game. I agree its better that ASJ (Australian Shooter) though.

Lol, I got the shits with Hunter becuase I got sick of seeing that joker with the beard from Kangaroo Island on every cover, seriously is he the only Australian hunter who can friggin`type?

boucanier, how can you put unions in the same sentence as politicians, without unions mate Howard and most employers would have you working for stuff all along side the import labour with no rights if you are going to knock unions well state ya piece, without my union our Australian merchant navy would be manned by third world crews "ships of shame" and there wouldn't be a merchant navy or all the safety conditions which go with a aussie ship manned by aussies.........
