I'll be back in Auckland next month. I arrive Wednesday morning, Feb 7th, (right after Waitangi Day) and I'll be there through Tuesday Feb, 13th. I'll be working out at the airport and staying downtown during the week but I may go down to the Waikato over the weekend.

If anyone wants to meet up for a coffee and a chat let me know.

Just my luck. My trip just got pushed back and I'm arriving on Friday, the 9th and flying back home on the 16th.

We were there in June.

Didn't much like the traffic..........lots of road works, didn't know where I was going.........and we were in a 7.2 m "land whale" of a motorhome.

Navman was a boon. Suppose it was just like navigating any other unfamiliar city.

We travelled mostly from Orewa to Henderson/West Harbour but also "attacked" Auckland from south, west and north.

Certainly wouldn't stop me going back there.

Its not high on my list of preferred locations but it is possible to navigate your way around.

I tend to go there solely because it has an International airport....

I'm working out at the airport but I stay in downtown because I like to walk around in the evening and downtown offers more to see.

I'll have a rental car so I can go anywhere. Last year I drove about 4,000 miles on the left hand side of the road in England, Wales, Scotland and New Zealand.
