I'm hung-up in a hospital in Darwin when in one week a young girl and a man get eaten by salties, so the government wants a 500 km no-croc radius around Darwin. Cull'em / kill'em but don't hunt them. Now I'm in Perth and first rattle out of the box I see photos and story where Farmer & Land Care Officers bait and shot 27,000 foxes to protect native animals. The claim was that each fox killed 11 mid-sized marsupials and 10 lambs each year. I guess they figure they saved 297,000 marsupials and 270,000 lambs this year. Couple that with a discussion of whether people in the middle of nowhere should be allowed to have pistols to protect themselves, and I'm wondering just how anal this country is. I love the country, but as a hunter I feel like it scores way-high on the ignorant-wildlife-management scale. Way ahead of the US.

Yeah you are right on the ignorant wildlife thing... but it is quite bad in the states too - only tempered by strong hunter groups! A day spent in the bush is a day added to your life Hunt Australia - Website Hunt Australia - Facebook Hunt Australia - TV
