Took some work mates out shooting near Lithgow, these guys were Finish, form work carpenters, who'd never been in the Australian bush. Walking along and I turned to say something to them and caught a flash of red of the corner of my eye. A fox was running about 80 metres away. Threw the .22 mag to the shoulder and let rip...and got the poor unlucky thing.

My mates looked at me like I was a shooting guru, I gave them a wink and sauntered down to inspect the fox, like I do this thing all the time Pure Arse.

Similar to Rugeruser, took a sow out at 80yards from light cover then saw something black in the long grass just near her. Had to be another pig so I let go. Five piglets ranaway squealling like, well, pigs. But three didn't, the 243 90grn Taipan HP took the one I was aiming at and fragments killed the other two who were about three feet each from him. Finished the other five of with 22 HPs.

This needs to be sorted into categories:

Arseiest shot with multiple kills - 3 pigs (each less than 1 metre in length) one shot!! 270 Win, Nosler ballistic tip, range, about 20 metres. Didn't even know the 3rd one was there! One shot!

Classiest shot, my 12 year old boy taking a hare on the run with a 22mag at about 75-80 meters on the run, without having time to actually aim (I was watching, and as the rifle came to his shoulder, he let rip, instinctive aiming).

Most amazing shot NOT taken: son and I had agreed that he would shoot first (his first deer hunt), Dad (me) locates deer, sits, with crosshairs on shoulder of deer. Son whispers 'wait'. Dad thinks that son is getting ready to shoot, with Dad providing back up in case shot is poor. Waiting, waiting, waiting, then, Dad! What are you waiting for? Turn around, son has fingers in ears in anticipation of 270 going off!! Deer of course, sees movement, gets moving. Now part of family history as 'the one that got away - and it had a bloody good rack!
