Well boys,,my 1918 needs some new tree!With what got modified,,repaired,,shortened,,recontoured,,etc.,,etc.,,I use the issue irons,so I want a high comb,,well higher than issue anyway,,but I like the comb just as hi as poss. really having to weld the cheeck down tight,,I'd like something more condusive to good shooting off-hand and fast handling,,it is my pig gun and here in louisiana if you don't sit a stand,,I don't,,your shooter better be fast handling!!!.What do you ""SOUTHERN"" SMLE'ers like?? I don't think you have to may options unless you go a full custom job. Most of the after market stocks are set up for scopes I think. Boyds have a SMLE stock. I use the origional stock, its a little heavy but that half the fun. ------------------------------ A mate of mine has just told me he's shagging his girlfriend and her twin. Have you considered an ATI Synthetic Stock? Free Floated barrel etc.... plus a pretty high comb. Takes the piss and fun out of it if you ask me, but I'm a bleedin puritan. Andy 'What am I aiming for?' 'I'll tell you when it gets there' | |||
