It seems to me that the Jake Kovco accident/suicide fiasco is making John Howard look like an even bigger arse than usual. Instead of investigating why the army is so dangerous for soldiers who are having trouble coping (assumiung the worst), he links it, by implication to the general anti-gun campaign he is running at the moment. Yup, if a experienced army private can't control a firearm, they must be dangerous eh? John Howard is a total p---- in every way. I decided when he confiscated my four semi autos (that I replaced straight a way with four other "legal" guns), he was a self-serving "baby-kisser." He would do anything to get our guns. I feel sorry for the Kovco family but I wish someone had the fortitude to tell the truth from the beginning about the way he died. This is just stirring up emotions all over the place, particularly on the anniversary of Port Arthur. The family of Kovco should have been fully informed from the very outset. Why was there the need after Pt Arthur not to bring it all out into the open about Bryant? I wonder what else we have never been told about that. I wonder where this will all lead to? How will Howard try and use it? What will the final story be? But the sad part is that Howard's opposite (Beazley) is no better- if not worse. What do they call this situation- The Devil's alternative?

That self righteous lil turd Howard... The aftermath of the Port Authur incident really proved to him that he absolute power, and what fun it was to wield it. You can kiss semi auto centrefire pistols good bye in the next year. We are stuffed basically, I knew when I started on the road to handgun ownership, my tenure with them would be limited, I`d have hoped for a bit more than I`ve had though. Beasley, I dunno his stance on it all but you can bet it isnt good, the democrats! they wanna outlaw recreational fishing for christs sake! Stop the world I wanna get off. Bah, I`m just getting pissed off again, like I did this morning reading the paper..

In the Army, "accidentaly shot while cleaning firearm" is a euphamism for suicide. the reason it is used is so that the next of kin get your insurance payout, which will not happen in the case of suicide. His folks are asking for trouble trying to find out what 'really' happened. Nobody ever shoots themselves while clearing a firearm prior to cleaning, they always seem to shoot someone else. As for Port Arthur, don't get me started. Where was the inquiry? How did a borderline moron, with limited firarms experience suddenly turn into one of the better combat shots alive? And then, what happened after the Monash Uni shootings? How did a foriegn student, who couldn't even speak English get a Cat H licence? I still think that perhaps Little Johnnie has an agenda to get rid of firearms in OZ, why else would people who left the sport (cat H), be required to sign statements to the effect that they would not rejoin the sport for 5 years? Possibly because the sport won't be here in 5 years? That little fucker Howard makes me sick. Especially when he said in 1996, "It's a tradgedy, but a convienient excuse to take action". The Gov't trusted me to carry guns for them for 20+ years, and now it is starting to look as though 'they' want them all. Cheers, Dave. Aut Inveniam Viam aut Faciam.

One thing about Port arthur that really gets me is how that moron managed so many head shots in the Broad arrow Cafe (19 out of 20 shots) without ear plugs and with sweet FA experience with rifles. It would have been bedlam but he did it. Then, it seems, the next appearance is at the guest house and the tool has forgot how to shoot! Not that there would be a conspiracy there to get at anyone. Surely, no politician would be involved in such carnage and heart ache just to create a situation ideal for his purposes. Better leave this topic alone. My blood boils.

I think conspiracy is exactly what we are talking about. One would hope that even a total megalomaniac, like little Johnny Hitler, wouldn't be able to be involved but there are two many glaring inconsistencies with the story we have been given about Port Arthur not to suspect a conspiracy. And the man has a long history of telling huge lies, some so big that people just don't seem to work it out. And why are the records locked up and not to be released to the public for 30 years if there is nothing for the Government to hide? "White men with their ridiculous civilization lie far from me. That's what I was getting at. I personally think there was (is) a major conspiracy with Port Arthur to get the public behind banning all guns from the public. I just have trouble thinking that any politician could really "stomack" being part of the organized killing of mass holiday makers to get what they want. I read the conspiracy book about the massacre and it makes you really think. Could a tool like Howard go along "knowing" about it? Or someone else higher up in the "power structure" organize a situation that would be ideal for a newly elected PM use to his advantage? Someone organize it so that an idiot who couldn't organize a rabbit hunt be seen as a mass killer and so dumb that he then couldn't be put up for public scrutiny. Then the PM be seen as the hero by "confiscating" (sorry, buying back) 600,000 guns. I know it didn't happen like it was in the papers. But I just cannot accept Howard knowing about it beforehand. Or after. I dislike him intensely for crushing those guns but I still cannot accept that he knew about it beforehand (or after). I know- I sound paranoid. But there are just TOO many inconsistancies.

GBB, the question is not 'are you paranoid?' but rather 'are you paranoid enough?'. Yep Little Johnnie is a world famous exponent of "the Big Lie", closely followed by Alexander (I have no recollection of that) Downing, Paul (Banana republic) Keating and Bob (No child will be living in poverty) Hawke. Pollies, makes your blood boil, hey? Cheers, Dave. Aut Inveniam Viam aut Faciam.

Reading todays paper, there's a picture of Jake Kovoco taken while on a hunting trip-with a stag! Some facts... He was a civilian shooter/hunter. Experienced Army Sniper! Not a young and dumb 19yo. He was shot from behind by someone elses P35. Something is rotten in Denmark, and it's not the cheese. I pray it will bring down the Howard grubmint. Regards,Shaun. Shaun, if we are only so lucky about his government collapsing. But none of the current ar----- have a ticker. I really cannot still believe that Howard, the power hungry pice of sh-- that he is, could organize Port Arthur. I still get angry on this one. "We are not going down the American way" on gun ownership. But can he squirm any further up where he is at the moment. I like the yanks as they could be a great help to us in the future, as we are at times with them. (MORALLY- not in numbers). But I wonder what most think about Johnny's head sticking out of a president's rear end? Beasley, hell! Has that fart even in posession of a spine? Then we have that great party, the Greens. Nah. I need to sleep tonight. Enough blowing off steam. Funny one from those tools in Gun Control- "Even though they are all issued with semi auto and full auto firearms, they don't use them against each other as the ammunition is sealed in canisters and they know there are severe punishments for opening a cannister without official approval"........ Talking about all Swiss being issued with semi auto and full auto rifles. I guess we should seal all our ammo in containers an no-one would use a firearm for an evil purpose. Not word for word but conveys their tune. What will that little piece of s--- do next with gun control?

Try this for size; the bloke who "predicted" a massacre in Tassy eighteen months before it happened is predicting a handgun massacre in the near future. Now I don't think for a minute that he is a confidant of any conspiritor, just a power hungry tool. Howard is; as always, weak and will continually pick on groups he percieves as less popular than him, but is not a confidant either. Just an opportunist. Shooting is FUN, winning is MORE fun but shooting IS fun.

I have never forgotten the quote from our new prime minister in 1996 after Port Arthur - " i have never owned a gun; I have never shot a gun; I have never handled a gun and my wife is proud of me"!! Says it all folks. APB

I heard a nasty rumour the other day,I was told that in there wisdom when the classifications for pistols were being made,They included all double action revolvers in the semi auto bracket.Has something to do with everytime you depress the trigger a round will be fired, unlike a single action which needs to be cocked for every shot fired.

Another pearler of a comment by Little Johnnie: "I cannot for a moment pretend that these measures will prevent a similar action in the future". O.K, then Johnnie, what was your performance criteria, apart from getting your own, badly tailored flak vest? $630,000,000 later, and what can we show for it, apart from some really pissed off legitemate firearms owners, and a medicare levy that is still in place after a promise that it would be a 'one off'? Cheers, Dave. Aut Inveniam Viam aut Faciam.

A reliable source told me that during the semi-auto/pump rifle and shotgun buyback, there were people advising the government to include double rifles in the semi-auto category as you could fire two shots just like a semi-auto rifle - so this mentality doesn't surprise me. Thankfully double barrelled shotguns would have been the same and that would have resulted in a complete wipe-out and virtually EVERY farmer and ALL trap shooters having to hand them in. Too many voters I think. "Strange" don't you think they let the Commonwealth Games get past before raising their agenda of infamy again. No ffffing co-incidence. They did this last time before the Queensland C/W Games and the Olympic Games too.
