Berger VLD Promotional Video

Is anyone local using these bullets for long range huntinfg applications?
Calibers: 300 (WSM and Win Mag, 7mm , .325 and similar.
I'd be interested in opinions/results especially compared to Barnes TSX LRX etc.

Also where's the best place to buy them.

I see dead Eye Dick's is the NZ agent.

GS Custom projectile might be easier to get.
Their agent is in Auckland.

+1 on the GSC bullets, there design is superb as the repeatability from box to box, and Martin is extremely helpfull with load developement details to get the best from your own particular rifle. He got me to 3235fps for my 7x57 with better than exceptable accuracy. I do use the Berger in my 20 cal though.

Have used a few of the 130gn Berger hunting VLD's through my .270 WSM on light ,thin skinned game. Certainly seem harder than a Nosler ballistic tip. More like a Sierra gameking I would say . Think they will go alright on heavier animals but time will tell . Accuracy is better than anything else I've tried .

The hunting imperative was part of every man's soul; some denied or suppressed it, others diverted it into less blatantly violent avenues of expression, wielding clubs on the golf course or racquets on the court, substituting a little white ball for the prey of flesh and blood.

Soddy at Palmerston. Also Jim the gunsmith can get them to I believe, but don't hold me to that.
Also a new gun shop in Mosgiel, I can get the number if you want, he's sharp on the prices...

Happy hunting
