Hi folks, My wife and I had a trip to NZ set up a couple of years ago when life intervened (in the form of a baby) and we had to put it off. Life has intervened again, this time in the form of a wedding in Palmerston North at the start of April. Things aren't finalised yet, but a 3 out of 4 chance we'll be going to the wedding, then taking ~10 days holidays. As part of that, my wife and I would like to get some hunting in while we are in NZ. We don't have any prefferences yet other than a general aversion to high fences. DIY is probably out for a variety of reasons. If you had only a few days to do it, what would you do to get a real NZ hunting experience? April is a pretty good time for the Red Deer roar. so I'd recommend you fly down south and hunt a red with some of the guys that post here, Ethical free ranger or highlander both have good free range options.

Thanks for the leads. Sifting through all the internet sites is taking a while. Seems like more free range options than the last time I looked and fewer helicopter shoots. A positive trend to my eyes. Dean ...I say that hunters go into Paradise when they die, and live in this world more joyfully than any other men. -Edward, Duke of York
