Can anybody outline the various types of dog used to hunt pig and what their roles would be?

I always assumed they were mostly bullterrier or bull crosses, but I gather this is not always the case?

I've never been a dogger, but you're right about the different types used. Pick a page out of one of our magazines and you'll see bull terriers, great danes, greyhounds, bull dogs, ridgebacks etc etc, all in various mixes. Blokes who go in for this have dogs with various specialties - finders, bailers, luggers etc. The X used depends a lot on what he wants to use the dog for.
